Slater Mill hosts Project Undercover's annual drive for new underwear, diapers and socks. This annual drive is sponsored by the Girl Scouts of Rhode Island who has raised awareness and donations for Project Undercover for the past 16 years. The event is also sponsored by Cardi's Furniture, Amica and Cat Country 98.1.
Project Undercover, a RI non-profit organization, provides new underwear, diapers and socks to children in need throughout the state. With over 40,000 children who live under poverty level in Rhode Island this drive is vital to keep children wiht the basic needs the deserve.
On Saturday, April 3rd join us along with Nick, Ron and Pete Cardi from Cardi's Furniture for the festivities. Simply bring an unopened, unwrapped package of underwear, diapers or socks. GSRI members and their families and friends are invited to have lunch, take a tour of Slater Mill and enjoy craft activities.
