March 13 | The BOBBY KEYES Trio

Guitar instrumentalist and composer Bobby B. Keyes dazzles with his American roots fusion. Best known for co-writing and recording with Billboard chart-topper Robin Thicke, and his original score for the documentary For the Love of Movies, Bobby performs with RI Music Hall of Fame 2015 inductees Marty Richards on drums and Marty Ballou on bass.

April 17 | From Blues to BeBop, featuring JAY GEILS

Jay Geils has a multi-faceted career including four decades as founding guitarist of the legendary J. Geils Band, co-founder of the Bluestime, and as a Jazz guitarist and trumpeter releasing Jay Geils Plays Jazz in 2005. His all-star Jazz quintet includes Jesse Williams on bass, Billy Novick on alto sax, Marty Richards on drums, and Bruce Bears on electric organ.

May 15 | Boston Jazz All-Stars, featuring TIM RAY

This trio brings the finest and most successful Boston-based jazz musicians to Pawtucket. Legendary pianist Tim Ray, former musical director for Lyle Lovett, is joined by former Gary Burton Quintet rhythm section John Lockwood on bass and Marty Richards on drums.

Join Slater Mill senior interpreter and nationally-known paranormal expert Carl L. Johnson for our popular, 90-minute Paranormal Investigation Tour of the Slater Mill historic site.

This program explores the 1793 Slater Mill, the 1758 Sylvanus Brown House, and the Waterwheel Pit of the 1810 Wilkinson Machine Shop, on a site reputed to be one of the most haunted in America – the birthplace of industry, and an era of American transformation.

~ 1670’s Pawtucket: The Jenks Settlement ~

Join us for our popular walking tour of 1670’s Pawtucket, The Jenks Settlement follows a one-mile path through downtown Pawtucket, Rhode Island, beginning an ending at Old Slater Mill, the Birthplace of the American Industrial Revolution.

For a century prior to the arrival of Samuel Slater, Pawtucket was a thriving artisan community of ironworkers and ship builders, settled originally by Joseph Jenks, Jr. who left his father’s ironworks in Saugus, MA to establish a forge in Rhode Island. The tour explores the sites of the first forge, the homesteads of the Jenks family members, and other related structures. 

$5 per person. Suitable for all ages, but most appropriate for ages 12 and up. Requires some up-hill walking through downtown Pawtucket. Comfortable footwear recommended. 75 minutes. Light rain or shine.
