Host your next business or social function at Slater Mill and make it an event to remember. Over two hundred years ago, Samuel Slater began manufacturing textiles at his wooden mill on the banks of the Blackstone River. His “curious experiement” in mechanization changed forever the way American’s work and live. You can make your own history here as well.
The exposed beams of the Old Slater mill or the rumble of the 16,000 pound water wheel in the Wilkinson Mill will help transport you and your guests back in time, adding charm and character to any occasion. Our buildings boast impressive views of the Blackstone River and are suitable for business meetings, receptions, dinners, exhibits, workshops and other events. The museum complex and its 5.5 park-like acres overlooking the river, create a perfect setting for outdoor weddings, receptions, fairs and festivals.
Slater Mill – 2nd floor

- Cost is $400 for the first three hours and $100 for each additional hour
- A 25% deposit is required at time of booking
Grounds

The grounds of Slater Mill along the Blackstone River, during an outdoor event. - 1-99 people – $200 for first three hours and $50 for each additional hour
- 100-249 people – $400 for first three hours and $100 for each additional hour
- 250-499 people – $600 for first three hours and $150 for each additional hour
- 500-749 people – $800 for first three hours and $200 for each additional hour
- 750-1000 people – $1000 for first three hours and $250 for each additional hour
- Over 1,000 people is negotiable
Visitor Center
- Accommodates up to 140 for dinner or 300 for standing reception
- 7 tables and 42 chairs available
- Restroom facilities
- Must have licensed caterer
- Cost is $600 for the first three hours and $100 for each additional hour
- A 25% deposit is required at time of booking
Theatre

Capacity for 90 people, the Theatre is available for functions, events and screenings.- Accommodates up to 90 people
- 7 tables and 42 chairs available
- Restroom facilities
- Must have licensed caterer
- Cost is $200 for the first three hours and $100 for each additional hour
- A 25% deposit is required at time of booking
